Why operators switch

Built for the way tarmac & tipper work actually runs.

Straight tip, machine lay, hand lay. Loads that change daily. Dead-mileage when you're sent to another plant. Wait time on site. Raahi is fleet software that speaks tipper & tarmac — the generic fleet apps don't. And because it's DVSA-compliant to the letter, your walkaround, defect and driver-hours records stand up to any roadside check or O-licence audit.

Questions & answers

DVSA walkarounds & fleet compliance — answered.

What is a DVSA daily walkaround check?

A DVSA daily walkaround check is a legally required safety inspection an HGV or LGV driver carries out before the vehicle is used on the road, at least once in every 24-hour period. It covers safety-critical items such as lights, tyres, brakes, mirrors, glass, fluids and leaks. Any defect must be reported and either rectified or formally signed off before the vehicle is driven, and records must be kept for at least 15 months. Raahi puts the full 30-point check on the driver's phone and keeps every signed, timestamped record automatically.

Are digital walkaround check apps DVSA compliant?

Yes. DVSA accepts digital, app-based walkaround and defect reporting as long as it meets the same evidential standard as paper: a dated, signed record of the check, any defects and their rectification, retained and available for inspection. Raahi produces exactly this — a full audit trail with photos, timestamps and 15-month retention.

How much does Raahi cost?

Raahi costs £4.99 per truck per week. Billing is weekly with a 14-day free trial. Every feature and unlimited drivers are included — nothing is locked behind add-ons.

Is Raahi suitable for small fleets and owner-drivers?

Yes. There is no minimum fleet size — you pay only for the trucks you run, from a single vehicle upwards, so it works for owner-drivers and small haulage firms as well as larger fleets.

What languages does Raahi support for drivers?

Raahi works in English, Urdu, Polish and Punjabi (with more languages available), so every driver can complete walkaround checks and read their dispatch in their own language.

Do I need FORS accreditation to use Raahi?

No. You do not need FORS accreditation to use Raahi. Raahi follows the DVSA and FORS walkaround standard, so it supports FORS and Operator Licence (O-licence) compliance, but it is open to any UK operator.

What is Tarmac ticket reconciliation?

Tarmac ticket reconciliation matches supplier delivery tickets and invoices against your drivers' actual deliveries. Raahi flags anything billed but not delivered, or delivered but not billed, so you never overpay a supplier invoice.

Which devices does Raahi work on?

Raahi runs on any smartphone or computer. It installs like a normal app on Android and iPhone as a progressive web app (PWA) — no app store download needed.
